Q: I’d like to have some ideas on what to wear before my consultation. Can you start me off?
A: Photoshoots work best when you wear something that looks good on you, shows some personality, and allows you to be comfortable. You name it, Jessica loves to photograph it - bright colors, bold patterns, strong textures, classy, retro, modern, rustic, the list goes on! Start by thinking about your own personality, then choose colors, patterns, and textures based on that. Some classic standbys include:
Feel free to bring several different outfits with you; a little selection often goes a long way, and it can help to bring some variety to your final images. If more than one person is participating in the photoshoot, please consider making your clothing choices as a unit - harmonizing color tones and similarly-themed outfits are wonderful!
Just one thing: try to leave the logos and media references at home! You may be a big fan of DKNY, but we want your photos to focus on you, not to look like an ad for whatever outfit you’re sporting.
