First, any location with personal significance is a good one; for example, if you are having an engagement shoot, an obvious place to start with is the place where you got engaged! Pick places that mean something to you, and you’ll naturally find spots for photos.

Second, look for lots of natural lighting, bold colors, and texture. Jessica recommends places like:

• parks
• beaches
• empty fields
• old buildings (peeling paint, old architecture, etc.)
• ultra-modern buildings

Jessica is also happy to shoot at your home. Remember, your shoot is all about you, so pick a place that you can be comfortable in, and good things are sure to follow!
